For Duroor Nights, an exclusive stargazing and community engagement gathering, Evolution Technical were appointed to deliver an audio, video and lighting solution that respected the natural environment while supporting the event's astronomy programme.


With just 30 guests attending, the emphasis was on intimacy, mood, and minimal environmental impact. Every technical element was carefully selected to enhance the guest experience without detracting from the primary attraction - the night sky.

The Challenge


Providing technical production for an outdoor astronomy event required a careful balance between functionality and environmental sensitivity.


The audio system needed to deliver clear speech, background ambience and playback for a small audience without overwhelming the natural surroundings. At the same time, lighting had to provide safe navigation around the venue while minimising light pollution to preserve ideal stargazing conditions.


The challenge was to create a comfortable and engaging guest experience while ensuring the technology remained discreet and unobtrusive.

The Solution


Evolution Technical supplied a compact professional audio system designed to comfortably support the target audience, providing clear coverage for speeches, ambient music and playback throughout the programme.


PA, Microphones, and supporting accessories were complemented by a dedicated standby Technical crew, ensuring professional operation and technical support for the duration of the event.


Lighting was designed with equal care. Wireless Astera fixtures were strategically positioned to subtly illuminate pathways and surrounding terrain, guiding guests safely to the main stargazing area. Warm white lighting highlighted key activation points and scenic features, with every fixture carefully controlled to minimize light pollution and maintain the clarity of the night sky.
