Evolution was proudly chosen by the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court to supply full production and logistics for this very unique and technically challenging event. At the core of every project is a solid infrastructure and with the recent purchase of Luminex Networking products, our full range of Giga Core switches were put to the test. The Louvre’s long corridors, high walls and unique dome-topped ceiling presented a challenge to link audio, video and lighting zones. This was easily solved with the Gigacore 10, Gigacore 14R, Gigacore16RFO and GigaCore 26i units using a redundant ring topology design at a length of over 600 meters throughout the venue. Processing speeds of up to 32GBps switching throughput, remotely controlled by the Luminex’s native Araneo software, took care of all Audio Visual and Lighting requirements including
“We were extremely impressed by the Luminex networking capabilities at the Louvre” says Randy Lakmal- Senior Audio Engineer at Evolution Technical Department. “There was a vast amount of area to be covered but with the fibre being so light weight, install was much easier than first anticipated. The health and safety factors at a venue like the Louvre are enormous, cable management is of huge importance here but it was easy to accommodate venue procedures with such little AV footprint. It was a huge success. “ Evolution is working hard to expand its Audio Visual department with the latest in innovative technology and current market demands with a view to seamlessly integrate each AV element, ensuring a rock solid performance to every project we deliver to our clients. |
