E1 Jeddah 2024
The inaugural E1 Series Electric Boat Race made its debut in Jeddah KSA, bringing together world-class racing, international broadcast partners and thousands of spectators for a landmark sporting event on the Red Sea.
Appointed as the Technical production partner, Evolution Technical managed the delivery of all AVL systems across the race venue, supporting the Fan Zone, hospitality areas, broadcast operations, prize-giving ceremony and the official E1 Gala Dinner.
The project required close coordination across multiple event environments while meeting the technical standards expected of a global live sporting broadcast.
The Challenge
Unlike a traditional event, the E1 Series operated across several independent production zones, each with its own technical requirements and operating schedules.
Live race coverage, public engagement, hospitality experiences and broadcast operations all needed to run simultaneously while sharing critical audio and video content across the venue.
Managing incoming international broadcast feeds, distributing live content to multiple display locations and maintaining reliable communications across the site required a resilient technical infrastructure capable of supporting both live television production and the spectator experience.
The Solution
Evolution developed a site-wide production network that connected every key event space into a single coordinated workflow. Broadcast feeds, live race coverage and event content were distributed across large-format LED screens, IMAG displays and hospitality monitors, ensuring audiences remained connected to the action regardless of their location.
A dedicated lighting package transformed the Fan Zone throughout the event, while special effects including cold spark fountains and CO₂ jets added impact to the prize-giving ceremony. Beyond the race venue, Evolution also delivered the complete audiovisual production for the official E1 Gala Dinner, creating a premium setting for invited guests and stakeholders.
