Matchroom Pool & WST Snooker Championships 2025
Over consecutive weeks in Jeddah's Green Halls, Saudi Arabia welcomed two of the world's most prestigious cue sports events, the Matchroom Pool Championship followed by the WST Snooker Championship. Together, the tournaments attracted elite players, international broadcasters and fans from around the globe.
Supporting two world-class championships within the same venue required more than a conventional event setup. Evolution was responsible for managing the complete technical production, adapting the venue as each tournament progressed while maintaining uninterrupted broadcast operations, spectator experiences and competition schedules.
The Challenge
As the venue for two consecutive international Pool and Snooker championships, Green Halls needed to adapt continuously without affecting the competition. Practice areas, feature tables and broadcast facilities changed throughout the tournament schedule, requiring the technical infrastructure to be struck as the tournament progressed, then rebuilt in stages while maintaining uninterrupted event operations.
At the same time, international broadcast feeds, live scoring and venue-wide displays had to remain perfectly coordinated, ensuring every match reached both on-site audiences and viewers around the world with the same level of quality architecture.
The Solution
A flexible production strategy was developed to support every stage of both championships. Lighting, audio, video and rigging systems were designed to adapt as competition areas changed, allowing the venue to transition efficiently from multiple active match tables to a single televised finals arena before being reconfigured for the next tournament.
Broadcast integration formed a key part of the production, with incoming international feeds distributed across LED displays and venue screens while dedicated signal pathways connected live scoring systems throughout the venue. Networked infrastructure and special effects completed the production, delivering an engaging atmosphere for spectators while supporting international broadcast standards.
