In March 2023, the Ministry of Economy hosted the second edition of the INVESTOPIA Annual Conference at Hilton Abu Dhabi, bringing together global investors, business leaders and government decision-makers from multiple sectors.

Evolution Technical was appointed to deliver the complete audio, video and lighting and technical production package for both the conference programme and the closing gala dinner.

The project required a seamless technical solution capable of supporting keynote presentations, panel discussions, multimedia content and evening hospitality across multiple event environments.

The Challenge

Delivering a high-profile international conference required a robust AVL infrastructure capable of supporting a full day of presentations, live discussions and multimedia content, followed by an elegant gala dinner in a separate outdoor setting.

The production demanded high-quality visual presentation, crystal-clear audio for more than 1,000 delegates and reliable networked signal distribution across all technical systems. The transition from conference environment to evening hospitality also required careful planning to ensure a consistent production standard throughout the event.

The Solution

Evolution Technical designed and delivered a fully integrated AVL solution centred around a large-format indoor LED wall, driven by Watchout media servers to provide seamless playback of presentations, branded content and high-resolution multimedia throughout the conference.

A bespoke lighting package was installed using Astera Titan Tubes, Astera AX5, Robe, SGM P5 and Chauvet fixtures, all programmed and controlled from a High End Full Boar 4 lighting console. The lighting design provided both functional illumination for presenters and dynamic visual enhancement for the conference stage.

Audio reinforcement for more than 1,000 attendees was delivered using an L-Acoustics KARA line array system with SB18 subwoofers and X12 front fills and stage monitors, powered by LA12X amplifiers. The pre-function area was equipped with HK Audio loudspeakers, while the complete audio system was mixed using a Yamaha QL5 digital console connected to a Yamaha Rio stage box.

All AVL systems were integrated through a Luminex signal distribution network, providing reliable communication between audio, video and lighting systems. The production infrastructure was supported by Litec truss structures, ensuring safe and efficient rigging throughout the venue.

For the closing gala dinner, Evolution Technical delivered an elegant outdoor production featuring atmospheric lighting across the terrace, creating a seamless transition from the formal conference programme to an evening of premium hospitality.

Held within the B2 car park at ICD Brookfield, Underground Party ICD transformed an industrial basement into an immersive underground music venue.

Working alongside VCA Group, Evolution Technical delivered the complete audio and lighting package, creating a raw club environment that complemented the venue's exposed architectural setting while supporting an evening of live DJ performances.

The Challenge

Converting an operational underground car park into a temporary nightlife venue required a carefully considered technical approach. With limited power availability, restricted installation space and the need to preserve the industrial character of the location, the production had to maximise visual impact without relying on large-scale infrastructure.

Evolution supplied a professional DJ setup featuring Pioneer CDJ-3000 players and a DJM-900 mixer, supported by a high-output HK Audio sound system that delivered powerful, balanced audio throughout the venue.

Lighting was designed to enhance the raw aesthetic of the space rather than disguise it. The Qudwa–PISA Global Competence Forum 2022, held at Expo 2020 Dubai, brought together educators, policymakers and international thought leaders to explore the future of education and global competency. Designed as a platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration, the forum featured keynote presentations, expert discussions and interactive sessions throughout the day.

The Accelerate 100x Forum, organised by ADNOC, brought together senior executives, government representatives and industry leaders for a strategic programme delivered simultaneously from ADNOC Business Centre in Abu Dhabi and Al Ruwais.

PRADA Mode blended contemporary art, hospitality and live entertainment within a gallery-inspired setting, requiring technical production that was both powerful and unobtrusive. The challenge was to deliver immersive sound, architectural lighting and reliable production infrastructure without compromising the venue's aesthetic.

The venue as it stood had no rigging points or attachments in the roof, meaning a custom solution was required to support the required lighting rigging and infrastructure

The production also needed to support multiple event formats throughout the programme, transitioning seamlessly between exhibitions, workshops, DJ performances and evening social experiences while maintaining technical performance.

The Solution

Evolution Technical designed and delivered a fully integrated AVL solution tailored to the venue's artistic vision. A dual-zone L-Acoustics audio system provided balanced coverage for both ambient music and live performances, while professional Pioneer DJ equipment, Shure wireless microphones and HK stage monitoring ensured reliable performance throughout the event.

Architectural lighting combined Astera, Martin and Chauvet fixtures with custom LED integration to enhance the venue's features, all controlled via a High End Full Boar 4 console using Swisson Wireless DMX. Our rigging team designed and installed permanent rated anchor points to the venue roof allowing a truss grid to be flown to support all lighting and infrastructure. An 8-metre Litec circular truss was also suspended from these and supported the production infrastructure, overall preserving the clean visual language of the space while delivering maximum technical performance.
