As part of the build-up to COP28, Evolution Technical was appointed to deliver the complete audio, video and lighting and technical production package for the Global Faith Leaders Gala Dinner at Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi.

Held under the patronage of ADNOC following the Global Faith Leaders' Summit, the event brought together distinguished international guests for an evening of dialogue, networking and cultural exchange. Evolution's role was to provide a seamless technical production that reflected the significance, prestige and diplomatic nature of the occasion.

The Challenge

Delivering technical production for a high-profile diplomatic gathering required exceptional attention to detail, reliability and presentation.

The production needed to provide clear speech reinforcement for distinguished guests, elegant architectural lighting that complemented the venue, and discreet technical infrastructure that enhanced the atmosphere without distracting from the event itself.

Every element of the AVL system had to remain robust throughout the evening, supporting formal proceedings while maintaining the refined ambience expected within one of the UAE's most prestigious venues.

The Solution

Evolution Technical designed and delivered a fully integrated AVL solution tailored to the unique requirements of the gala dinner.

Audio reinforcement was centered around a L-Acoustics Syva system with Syva Low extensions providing the main PA coverage, complemented by L-Acoustics 5XT loudspeakers for ambient fill throughout the venue. The system was powered by LA12X amplifiers, delivering exceptional clarity for speeches and programme content. HK Audio floor wedges provided discreet stage monitoring, while Shure RF wireless microphone systems ensured reliable speech reinforcement and presenter mobility.

Lighting was designed to enhance the elegance of the venue using a combination of Astera Titan Tubes, AX5 and AX3 fixtures alongside Robe, SGM P5 and Chauvet lighting systems. All fixtures were programmed and controlled using a ChamSys MagicQ70 lighting console with Swisson Wireless DMX, providing flexible and dependable wireless lighting control throughout the event.

Lighting towers were constructed using Litec Varitower structures, providing the required height and fixture positioning while maintaining a clean, unobtrusive appearance within the venue.

The result was a cohesive technical production where audio, lighting and structural elements worked seamlessly together to support the event's diplomatic and interfaith significance.

Created as an exclusive private celebration, "Project Sourfish" brought together internationally renowned performers for an evening of live entertainment in a bespoke event environment.

Every element of the production was designed to deliver a premium but intimate guest experience while meeting the technical expectations of A-list artists and their touring teams.

Evolution was entrusted with the complete Technical production, managing staging, rigging, professional audio, lighting, video playback and show infrastructure to create a system capable of supporting multiple live performances.

The Challenge

Unlike a traditional concert, the production combined the expectations of a major live performance with the flexibility required for a private event.

The venue had to accommodate multiple artists, changing technical riders and rehearsals, while maintaining a polished environment for invited guests.

With a compressed production schedule, every technical system from staging and rigging to lighting, audio and video had to be installed, integrated and fully commissioned within a single day, leaving sufficient time for rehearsals before the event.

The Solution

Evolution developed a purpose-built production environment centred around a Litec ground-supported stage and truss system, providing a secure platform for lighting, audio and performance equipment. Professional sound reinforcement, dynamic lighting and video playback systems were integrated into a unified production workflow, ensuring every performance was supported by reliable technical infrastructure.

Behind the scenes, a dedicated fibre-based Luminex AVL network connected the production systems, allowing efficient signal distribution and communication between departments while providing the flexibility needed to accommodate live show changes throughout the evening.

Delivering technical production for a prestigious awards ceremony demanded a seamless integration of multiple AVL systems within one of the UAE's most prestigious venues.

The production required high-resolution LED Screens for branded content, sponsor media and award sequences, alongside premium audio reinforcement for speeches, video playback and live entertainment. Lighting needed to enhance the stage environment while complementing the elegance of the ballroom, and every technical system had to operate reliably through a centralised network infrastructure.

Achieving flawless synchronisation across video, lighting, audio and control systems was essential to maintaining the pace and quality of the live event.

The Solution

Evolution Technical designed and delivered a fully integrated AVL solution centred around a large-format indoor LED display, driven by Watchout media servers to manage branded content, sponsor assets, presentations and seamless show transitions.

The stage environment was enhanced using Astera Titan Tubes, Astera AX5 fixtures, Robe moving lights and Chauvet fixtures. Custom RGBWW LED cove lighting was integrated into the stage stairs, while LED beam fixtures surrounding the podium added depth and visual impact throughout the ceremony. Lighting control was managed through a GrandMA lighting system, providing precise programming and show execution.

Audio reinforcement was delivered using an L-Acoustics KARA line array system with SB18 subwoofers, complemented by X12 front fills and stage monitors, all powered by LA12X amplifiers. A Yamaha QL5 digital mixing console with RIO stage boxes ensured clear, balanced audio for award presentations, speeches, multimedia playback and live performances.

To provide reliable system integration, all AVL components were networked through a centralized Luminex infrastructure supporting Dante, Art-Net and AVB protocols. Redundant signal paths and real-time system monitoring ensured dependable performance throughout the event.

The main PA and lighting systems were supported by Litec truss structures, providing clean sightlines and robust structural support while complementing the venue's elegant ballroom environment.

ProLab Digital appointed Evolution Scenic & Evolution Technical to create a signature attraction for its store in Viva Riyadh Mall, a large-scale automated installation designed to capture shoppers' attention and showcase the brand's creativity.

The concept centered around a fully automated blooming flower that would open its petals to reveal a mannequin before closing again in a continuous, synchronized sequence. The installation combined scenic fabrication, mechanical engineering and custom automation to create an engaging visual centerpiece within the retail environment.

The Challenge

The installation needed to deliver smooth, reliable operation throughout daily retail hours while maintaining a visually elegant movement that enhanced the customer experience.

The mechanical system had to support large moving petals with precise, repeatable motion while remaining robust enough for continuous operation. Ease of transportation, installation and maintenance were also key project requirements, alongside intuitive controls that allowed store staff to operate the display with minimal training.

Achieving reliable automation without compromising the aesthetic design required extensive  research and development.

The Solution

Evolution Technical designed and engineered a bespoke automated flower system powered by a Linak DK-6430 medical-grade actuator, delivering 1200N of force to provide smooth, controlled petal movement.

A custom electronic control system built around an Atmega328P microcontroller automated the complete opening and closing sequence. A wired remote control with integrated LED indicators enabled operators to start, stop and pause the display, while a miniature OLED screen provided real-time actuator status and system diagnostics.

To simplify transportation and installation, the system incorporated aviation connectors that allowed modular assembly while reducing installation time and eliminating connection errors.

Extensive research and development refined the mechanical performance of the installation. Counterweights were engineered to balance the petals, limit switches ensured accurate movement, and the operating sequence was programmed to remain open for approximately 2.5 minutes before closing for 30 seconds, repeating continuously until manually stopped. A dedicated pause function also allowed performers and technicians to safely adjust the installation during setup and rehearsals.
